Michael Kanyingi Kimuhu: Expert Public Health and Nursing service Manager has over 35 years working experience in Nursing care.

Michael is a practising Mental and Medical Health Counsellor specializing in patient teaching and geronto-psychology. He is a WHO certified Healthy Ageing Practitioner and a member of WHO CSO Commission.

Michael leads Older Persons Rights Advocacy Network in Campaign and awareness creation for Age Friendly Cities and Communities heading the discussions with the Mayors, Councils of Governors and Municipal Managers for enhancement and promotion of age friendly smart cities and communities.

Michael is currently a key stakeholder in the planning of the upcoming UN Habitat World Urban Forum - Baku, Azbejian June 2026.

Member of the United Cities and Local Governments Global Summit Stakeholders Planning Committee to be held in Tangier, Morrocco later in 2026.

Michael is involved in the Universal Periodic Review Process Training for Human Rights Defenders under UPR Info and he has presented several petitions to the UNHRC on the rights of older persons.

Co Chair Generational Assembly of Partners Older Persons Partner Constituent Group; Member of: The Global Alliance for the Rights of Older Persons (GAROP), Global Network for the Rights of Older Persons, UN NGO Committee on Ageing Communication Committee, UN-Habitat World Urban Campaign Executive Steering Committee and the UPR Kenya Coalition.

Michael has recruited many up coming Human Rights Defenders into the campaign for the rights of Older Persons with a focus on Age Friendly Environments.
