Dr. Mellany Murgor
Dr. Murgor is an occupational health practitioner and public health professional from Kenya, whose work is deeply rooted in community and workplace level practice. She has extensive experience working directly with workers, youth, and communities to promote safer workplaces, mental well-being, and prevention of occupational and public health risks. Her practice is grounded in frontline engagement, where health, safety, and social realities intersect in everyday settings. Building on this grassroots foundation, her work extends to clinical practice, advocacy, policy development and health systems strengthening.
She serves on the WHO Youth Council Steering Committee, contributing to global discussions on youth leadership, meaningful youth engagement, intergenerational equity, and policy co-creation for healthier societies. Her work highlights the importance of safe, inclusive, and mentally healthy communities and workplaces as key determinants of population health, productivity, and social cohesion.
