Florence Godmaire‑Duhaime
Florence Godmaire‑Duhaime represents Québec’s Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux on the WHO Global Network for Age‑Friendly Cities and Communities. Her work centers on advancing active aging, preventing mistreatment, and developing strategic partnerships, notably to strengthen age‑friendly environments. She contributes to major governmental initiatives, including the Plan d’action gouvernemental 2024–2029 – La fierté de vieillir, the Plan d’action gouvernemental pour contrer la maltraitance envers les personnes aînées 2022–2027, and Québec’s Programme de soutien à la démarche Municipalité amie des aînés (MADA).
With a background as a social worker in the public health care system and a research portfolio dedicated to developing intervention strategies tailored to the needs of marginalized populations, she brings both clinical and academic perspectives to her governmental role. She holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Social Work.
