Alba M. Sánchez Martín

Alba María Sánchez Martín is a Senior State Statistician and currently Deputy Head of Research in the Coordination of Studies and Technical Support Unit at IMSERSO (Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and 2030 Agenda).
She holds a degree in Industrial Technology Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (2018-2022), specialising in Industrial Mathematics, and a Master's Degree in Statistics for Data Science from the Carlos III University of Madrid (2022-2023). She began her professional career in the General State Administration after passing the competitive examinations for the Senior State Statisticians and State Statistics Graduates.
At IMSERSO, she works in the field of generating scientific evidence for the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies related to ageing and long-term care. Her work includes the design and validation of measurement instruments, the evaluation of programmes with social impact financed by European funds (ESF+) and technical support for initiatives aimed at strengthening the quality of care and person-centred approaches. She is also the focal point for the Secretary of State for Social Rights for the monitoring of the measures of the State Pact against Gender Violence.
